County Treatment Campus Expansion Near Schools

San Bernardino County is expanding a drug and alcohol treatment campus at 13333 Palmdale Road from 66 to about 210 beds, right next to Silverado High, Cobalt Institute, and Larrea Middle School. The county used its legal authority to bypass local zoning and started construction without notifying the city or school district. The council formally opposed the project and the state funding behind it.
