4 issues with high priority
Warehouse at Creekside tenant conditions
A tenant told the council the affordable housing complex charges over $2,000 for two-bedroom units while some families lack washers and dryers others have, and urged the city to renegotiate the contract it wrote.
El Niño Storm Preparedness
Forecasters say a very strong El Niño is likely through March 2027, and the city is racing to get ready — mapping flood-prone spots, stockpiling sand at three new sites, and testing Tiger Dam barriers that could replace 500 sandbags per 50-foot section. The full plan could cost around $65,000, and staff will return with a facility assessment before buying.
Altair development progress
A previously approved plan for 212 attached rowhomes in Altair Villages C1, C2 and C3 has been changed to 176 detached single-family homes and duplex units — fewer homes, but a different product type.
Redhawk Golf Course Event Center
The Redhawk golf course can now host weddings and special events between noon and 9 p.m. up to three days a week, following years of review and noise mitigation planning.
