Health care safety net and federal cuts

The executive director of Health Equity Rising warned of a 'convergence' of crises — Medi-Cal enrollment freezes for undocumented adults, HR 1 coverage losses, ICE enforcement fears, school therapist cuts and Prop 1 reductions — and urged the board to fund health center capacity, staffing and language access.
