City Council — August 4, 2026
Santa Rosa's prohousing designation expires January 1, 2027, and the council authorized a renewal application scoring about 89 points — up from 57 in 2023. The designation gives the city priority processing and extra points on major state housing grants, plus access to a funding pool only prohousing cities can tap. The city has pulled in $1.25 million directly from that pool plus roughly $30 million in related infill infrastructure grants.
