Proposed Rosemead Civic Center Project
Summary
The city is exploring a civic center combining City Hall, a library, and a rec center in one four-story building, with underground parking and landscaped grounds. It's still a concept — everything depends on winning grant funding, and construction could be five to ten years away. Commissioners' feedback will help shape the grant application.

Impact analysis
Multi-million dollar project — but nothing is spent yet; the city is chasing grant and state/federal funding to pay for planning and construction.
All Rosemead residents would get a central gathering place with a library, rec center, green space, and community event areas.
No one yet — but existing facilities like the recreation center and library would be demolished if the project advances, and nearby neighbors would live with years of construction.
