Business Drive open storage lot appeal
Commissioners wrestled with whether prime R&D-zoned land should keep hosting self-storage. With five facilities within 4,000 feet and an El Dorado Hills job-housing imbalance of 52,000 residents to under 5,000 jobs, most commissioners said no — but the zoning code currently allows it with a permit.

Proposed 140-foot cell tower near Loch Leven Drive, Pollock Pines
A multi-carrier wireless facility with a 140-foot monopine and diesel generator was proposed near homes on Rainbow Trail. Staff recommended denial over a 180-foot setback waiver, and residents and the fire chief voiced concerns before the commission postponed a decision to October 2026.
